I went to look at my history and see many of (not all) of my FB page imports are not working. See screen cap. I recall at one point the aggregator was wonky and woudl not import from the page URL

    https://www.facebook.com/pg/homesteadgardens/ woudl not import

but woudl from the event page

    https://www.facebook.com/pg/homesteadgardens/events/ would be fine.

I have checked the settings and made a switch to the events page and still am getting the !

    Any suggestions?

    Hello John,

Thanks for getting in touch! I’m really sorry about the issues with importing.

We had some similar issues recently. I’d like to ask for some information to try to get to the bottom of this.

Do you see any error messages pop up when you hover over the red exclamation mark?

Does it help if you delete, then re-create the scheduled import?

Does it help if you remove Facebook authorization and re-authorize it? Here are the steps for this:

    • Unlink your site from Facebook. You can do this under Events > Settings > API (screenshot)
    • Remove the application authorization in your Facebook account. (In Facebook go to Settings > Apps, find there Event Aggregator and click on the ‘X’ to remove it (screenshot)
    • Re-establish the Facebook authorization and token

Let me know if those make any difference.

    Thanks and cheers,
    Andras

There is no pop up on hover other than import failed. I will try to delete the imports and re-establish them. I do not think the FB is the issue as there are several other pages that ARE importing correctly.

I have 19 pages that I pull from so I will delete them and go from there

OK I deleted all the problem imports and re created them all with the URL ending in events/

Some of them took. Others are erring again. I do get a message this time and rather than just “failed” it says “failed, import being fetched is not queued up try import again” I also have one that has been hung up in a yellow warning that says import pending

Hey John, thanks for your patience!

I checked with the team and they confirmed, this is a bug.

Good news is the fix is on the way! The code is waiting for QA and once is passes the tests it will be released. I’d say it will come with the next maintenance release, but cannot guarantee that just yet.

It would help us in the testing if could you share a database dump with us. Would that be OK with you? If you can, that is awesome. If you cannot, then no worries. 🙂

I am going to set the status of this ticket to “pending fix” and we will update it once the fix is released.

If you have any new questions or issues please create a new ticket and we’ll be happy to help you out.

    Thanks and cheers,
    Andras

    Hi John!

Just wanted to share with you that a new release for the Event Aggregator server is out including a fix for this issue 🙂

No action is needed on your end as this is all on our server side of things, but as always, we recommend you update to the latest versions of our plugins.

Please try it out and let us know if the fix works for your site.

    Best,
    Victor

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
