ParticipantI set up recurring events and blog posts dated for each event are now published on my blog for dates well into the future.
Yes, I had the setting for events to appear on my blog set to “on,” but I didn’t think future events would populate now.
I have since unchecked that box, but the posts have already populated.
Please help! My real content is buried.

MemberHey Tracy,
Thanks for reaching out to us! I’ll help you here…
I have since unchecked that box, but the posts have already populated.
I’m not sure I follow the issue here, If you un-check the box then events should go away from your ‘blog’. Maybe there’s some cache persisting? Can you try to flush all caches for your site and confirm if this is still an issue? Also, I’m not seeing any events in your homepage were events showing up here or in another place?
Thanks,

ParticipantAfter I posted my question, I discovered that unchecking the box had not saved previously. I have been able to make the posts disappear.
However, can you tell me why the future events are posting to the blog? I’d really like to allow events to post, but a recurring weekly event posting from the future really does hijack my blog.
Also, I’d like to add to whatever wish list you might have for future revisions to the product the ability to choose which, if any, events can be added to the blog, rather than all or none.
Thx!

MemberThanks for following up Tracy! Glad you could resolve the posts/events havoc for now.
However, can you tell me why the future events are posting to the blog? I’d really like to allow events to post, but a recurring weekly event posting from the future really does hijack my blog.
This option modifies the ‘blog query’ to include events posts type alongside default posts. This query orders results by publish date so that’s why events are shown by publish date and not by ‘event date’.
Also, I’d like to add to whatever wish list you might have for future revisions to the product the ability to choose which, if any, events can be added to the blog, rather than all or none.
You are welcome to suggest this feature request at The Events Calendar user voice page, where we gather feedback from our community. You can make a search befor posting to see if there’s a similar request!
Please let me know if there’s anything else I can do for you,
Best,
