Future Events Do Not Published in Calendar

Hi. We are evaluating Events Cal on our new website, and considering whether to purchase the PRO edition. But we encountered a problem with the Events Calendar during our trial on the website… that the “Upcoming Events” list only shows those past events. We tried to edit the Status of the event from “Scheduled” to “Published” but unable to do it.
This is a critical feature for us to decide if we were to proceed with the upgrade to Events Calendar Pro. Grateful for your comments. Thank you.
