Future Automated Pull from Eventbrite Entries to The Events Calendar…?

I see from recent posts that it’s not currently possible to automate this process of getting events from Eventbrite (Eb) to The Events Calendar (TEC). I notice also that support reps have asked users to submit a feature request for it.

This tells me it’s possible via the Eb API to do it. Is this true?

If so, I’d love to get a confirmation since this is a deal breaker on my project. Main issue is it’s preferred for my client to only use Eb event entry interface. Other issue is that TEC allows for MOST of the event data entry but not ALL of it, which means that my client is obliged to double-step the event entry process by starting at TEC and then going to Eb to finish. This is not ideal for obvious reasons and leads to errors and a dissatisfied client.

Any news about this issue is much appreciated.

Hey Clifford!

Thanks for getting in touch. It’s actually good you reached out now because we are in the process of updating the Eventbrite Tickets add-on to the latest Eventbrite API. That should be coming out real soon.

At the same time, scheduled imports will not be part of the next release. It is certainly possible in the new Eventbrite API (from what we can tell) and something that we are actively looking into after we upgrade the plugin to the new API.

The best way to stay in the loop on these updates is to add your vote on our UserVoice forum (as you’ve already seen). Adding your vote will allow you to subscribe to notifications as we make progress on the development.
