ParticipantDear TECPRO
Thanks for the shortcode update about being able to embed any views in any page; great advance!
– Issue one: since applying the update some existent CSS in the views has changed?! Has this happened to more users? Do you have already a clear answer? Or is just me?
– Issue two: would it be possible to have a shortcode code to show TODAY’s events in photo view on the homepage (per example)?
Alternatively, I guess I can use view as Day?
many thanks
PS: the Help label in Events Settings is missing!? (So I cannot supply System Info)

MemberHi Pau. The tribe_events shortcode’s usage is documented here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-calendar-views-tribe_events-shortcode/
You could request any new feature ideas (or maybe search to see if the idea was already posted by someone else) at our plugins’ UserVoice page.
This allows others who are interested in that feature to easily voice their support. We frequently review suggestions there to find out which ones are popular, then we implement as many of them as we can.
If you post it / find it, feel free to link to it from here in case anyone comes across this forum thread in the future.

ParticipantHi Cliff, many thanks
Yes, I was aware of this document
– so the answer is no
– and regarding the question of how the new shortcode produced some CSS to misbehave, I guess that nobody has said anything like this before?
– and regarding the question why the HELP tab has gone from Settings since the update, I guess we don’t know either?
Will revise the forums
all the best

MemberPau, I’m not sure what “Will revise the forums” means, and the Help tab at wp-admin > Events > Settings > Help tab isn’t gone for me or anyone else… that’s really odd.
Do you have any custom wp-admin CSS, JS, or PHP running?

ParticipantHi Cliff, many thanks for your patience, I apologise if I panicked, but the site was about to be launched and since the update things have changed
yes, we have a custom wp-admin CSS
would revert to a previous version of the plugin be an option
see attached image to see how help is missing
Oh, wait, help tab is now in a new place below Settings
sorry!

MemberPau, I actually didn’t know our Help tab got relocated, but I see the same on my local testing site. My apologies for that.
So is everything good now or is there something more I can assist with?

ParticipantHi Cliff,
basically, it seems that the update came with some CSS that’s taking over the custom one
we have been crazy trying to find out how that it works
I believe that any information that could benefit the community should be shared, having said that, I’m afraid is more a generic question than a specific one, so if there’s not a remark you feel necessary to state, we may close this thread and open a new one when needed.
Many thanks as usual fo the hard work, appreciated.

MemberPau, thanks for your consideration of the community as a whole. I don’t have any advice in this area, however.
I wish you well on updating your project, and, yes, feel free to open a new thread if/when you have a specific question we can assist with.
Thanks!
