ParticipantWe are currently using qtranslate on our site which I know doesn’t work with Event Calendar but I have added some translations to the .po file but I do not see them populating on the site. Am I using this wrong? Is there another way I should be adding those translations?

KeymasterHi Cory,
Thanks for reaching out! Let me try to help you with this one.
Although yes, we are officially not compatible with qTranslate, it might work.
Can you let me know which strings you are having issues with? We just recently discovered some that have the wrong textdomain, which will be fixed in the next maintenance release.
Let me know and I can try to help you further.
Cheers,

ParticipantWell we want to translate to Chinese. I have attached screenshot of things that are missing but when I add them to the .po file nothing changes on the front end or the back end.

KeymasterHi Cory,
As a first step please make sure that you are using the latest versions of our plugins.
Then check if the .po files are fully up-to-date.
If you are using PoEdit, then open your .po file, go to Catalog > Update from POT file… look for the .pot file in the languages folder of the plugin and run an update.
Let me know if that works out. If not, then I can try to help you further.

KeymasterHi Cory,
We are unfortunately unable to provide support through our Pre-Sales forum channel, but you can head over to The Events Calendar WordPress.org support forums for assistance and answers.
Also please note that at the moment we do not officially support qTranslate. You can try posting / searching for solutions in their forums as well.
If you have a PRO license, you can log into your account and get assistance through the PRO forums.
Thanks for understanding!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
