I’m having an issue in French with the calendar. This calendar was recommended to me via WPML, as one of the only calendars that is WPML compatible. W

e’ve run into a glitz (didn’t happen in firefox, but happens in explore and chrome) where when you switch months, the calendar goes back to English. Hoping I can get some help to resolve it.

http://www.copoloff.com/calendar-2/?lang=fr here’s the French page with the calendar. If you go to January, you’ll see the calendar switches to the English one (with English events)… the page stays the same in that nav/content is French. But if you refresh, it goes to English

Good evening Kim and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

Since you are using WPML, I highly recommend reading and using the following guides:

    1. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-the-events-calendar-with-wpml/
    2. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-translations-for-events-using-wpml/

As per your specific issue, once you have completed the setup above, you might want to look at Language filtering for AJAX operations under WPML > Languages.

Try with and without the checkbox.

In most cases, that resolves the issue.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Hi,
I followed the above suggestions, and it seemed to work initially. but somehow we’re back to it not working now? Not sure what to do now?

    Good evening Kim,

Thank you for trying those suggestions.

There are a couple of other things to try to fix this issue:

    1. Head over to Events -> Settings -> Display and try deactivating Enable the Month View Cache
    2. Head over to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting page.

Once you are there, you should see several cleanup buttons. I would recommend:

      a) Clearing WPML cache
      b) Using ALL the cleanup buttons on that page
      c) Disabling the language switcher cache
      d) Re-saving your permalinks

    3. If none of that works, please try to use the directory-based language switching (instead of the parameter) in WPML’s options.

I hope you have a fantastic holiday season!

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
