Free Version of The Events Calendar Not Working

I have the free version of The Events Calendar installed. (I have access to these forums because I purchased the Event Brite Tickets plugin as well.) The Events Calendar does not display at all. I have only one event created so far, and it displays as text only, all haphazardly on the page. I am working with a custom theme, and I am certain that is why. The calendar looks great in the default Twenty Twelve theme. Is there a way to get The Events Calendar default CSS, etc. to over-ride my theme so that it actually functions?

Hi lemonadealanna,

Sorry to hear about this. We do our best to integrate with the myriad of themes out there, but occasionally there are problems like this. The first thing I would suggest trying is to change the Events Template option in Events > Settings to something other than what’s there now.

Let me know if that changes anything.
