Formatting Fields in Attendee Information Field Sets

Hello ET+ Support Folks:

I would like to try and have fields in the Attendee Information Field sets allow only specific information. For example: have a field set contain only a certain number of digits (and maybe a dash in the middle). xxxxxx-xxx Something like that. is there a way to go in and tell the field what can be entered in? Also, is there a way to add text under the field to describe what must be entered here, or an example?

Thanks for reaching out!

There is unfortunately not an out-of-the-box way to add validation to the attendee fields at this time. We do however have an open feature request for it, and I would definitely recommend casting your vote! You could also add some validation yourself via a customization. If you’d like to give it a shot, our themer’s guide is the place to start. We have a list of recommended developers as well if you’d like to get some help with the code.

Adding helper text falls into a similar boat…there isn’t currently an option for it, but it is possible with a customization. I would recommend taking a look at the template files found at wp-content/plugins/event-tickets-plus/src/views/meta.

I’m sorry I don’t have a better answer for you here, but please let me know if you have any questions! We are not currently able to do customizations, but we are more than happy to answer questions and help point you in the right direction if you get stuck!

This is good information. I was reaching a bit, I think, hoping for these fields. They would really come in quite handy in the future. I will check into developers and see if there is a way.
