    I have activated event tickets, and now I can not set the basic price of an event without creating tickets. In many cases I am not the company selling event tickets or the event is free. So, I should just be able to add the price in this case. However, that section of the event is missing when tickets are activated.

    I would love to help you with this topic.

    You are right, what is going on is that as soon as you are using the Events Ticket module, the plugin assumes you no longer need the cost field.

    The good news is that you can bring it back!
    All you need to do is to add the following snippet to your WordPress theme’s functions.php file: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/use-the-event-cost-field-with-tickets-installed/
