Force Facebook event import

Is there a way to trigger the Facebook plugin to grab new events manually without having to wait for the plugin to get the events?

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Sure thing! To start, ensure that you have a Facebook page added to the Events > Import > Import Settings tab. Once added and updated, you can switch over to the Facebook tab there and you should see a list of the events for that page available as checkboxes for a manual importing of events.

OK, that’s what I thought but the event is not showing. This event is published on a Facebook group. I wonder if that’s the problem. Is there a way to pull in events from a Facebook group that is public?

Thanks for following up here.

I don’t believe all the events from a Facebook Group can be imported the same was as they are from Facebook Pages.

However, you should be able to add the event ID and import the events directly that way on the Facebook tab of the imports section.
