Fixing multiple occurances on one day.

I’ve seen your thread about too many recurrences on a single day, I’m sure that my client made an error and I’ll research that.

But she has events recurring daily years into the future. Is there an easy way for her to delete the extra occurrances? In fact, can she delete them en masse? Get rid of them all and start over?

She’s got about 4 recurring events that are repeating often, and each one has about 100-200 repeats.

I would love to help you with this topic.

Before you do anything, I would recommend making a backup of the database (just to be extra safe).

Once that’s done, there are a couple of things I would try to speed up the process:

• Try adding an end date to the recurring events (to ensure they do not go years into the future – that would also maybe avoid deleting a bunch of events)
• Using our advanced post manager plugin AND increasing the number of events displayed (using screen options), you should be able to batch delete extra occurence of events with the Move to Trash bulk action.
