Hi,

I installed Events Calendar Pro and created a few events. Whenever I select the event title or the Find Out More link, I’m given a 404.

http://bridgepointe.staging.wpengine.com/events/

Can you please let me know what I need to do to fix this?

Figured out a workaround. I changed my events slug to bp-events. Not sure why this would make a difference, but it worked.

Based on that, I believe that the cause is probably that you have a “real” page that has the http://bridgepointe.staging.wpengine.com/events/ URL.

Our calendar pages are actually not “real” pages. But, they need total exclusivity of the slug chosen.

In other words, if you have an existing real page that has the http://bridgepointe.staging.wpengine.com/events/ slug, it will create 404 pages.

The solution is to change the slug of the “real” page (or delete it if you are not using it) or change the slug of the Events Calendar (which you did).
