ParticipantI’m using the shortcode (I’m assuming there’s only one with variations) and trying to display more than one category. Is that possible?
Or, if the above is not possible, how do I include the filter bar with the shortcode?

MemberHi Todd!
Thanks for coming back to us! 🙂

Yes, to show more than one category you can use the shortcode like this:
[tribe_events view="list" category="barbecue","salad" ]how do I include the filter bar with the shortcode?
Filter Bar cannot be displayed via the shortcode. If you want to use Filter Bar, you’ll need to do so on your default events page.
If you’d like us to consider making Filter Bar compatible with the shortcode calendar in the future, please head over to this UserVoice page and vote for it as well.
I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions!
Best!

ParticipantThis suggestion of adding multiple categories didn’t work. When I add the code like you suggested with a comma in between the categories with no space, it just displays all future events.

MemberHey Todd!
I’m really sorry, I was wrong as I tried it myself in my local installation but confused the results I got.
Unfortunately, it’s not posible to display multiple categories with the shortcode but I did find that feature idea in our uservoice here > https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/17455246-tribe-events-shortcode-support-multiple-categories So I encourage you to vote for it as it needs more votes to be taken into account for a future release.
My apologies for the misunderstanding once again. Feel free to ask any other questions you may have.
Best regards!
Victor

ParticipantI voted for it. That’s so weird. Even a third party like Avada gives “The Events Calendar” multiple categories in their widget but not from the maker itself. I believe that third party shortcode plugin on the WordPress.org site even has multiple categories. I hope it gets added soon because Modern Tribe’s shortcode looks much nicer than Avada’s widget or the shortcode plugin.

MemberHi Todd!
I absolutely agree with you. This is certainly something we would like to have ourselves in the near future. You can also see that our team was the one who posted that feature idea.
I encourage you to spread the news and ask for colleagues to vote for it as well, so it gains relevance in the list of features to come. 😉
Please stay tuned to our Release Notes and the plugin changelogs for more information on when this feature is available.
Good luck with your project!
