Hi. I’d like to use the filter add-on for a client’s school site. What I am trying to do is display their calendar on two class/program pages. Each page needs to display a different class schedule. I see that I can add a category for each event but I’d like category 1 events to show up on the category 1 class page and category 2 to show up on the category 2 class page. I’d like to avoid users having to use the filter tool and just have it display the category for that class.
Does that make sense. Can I do that with shortcode?
Thanks for reaching out, and I’m happy to help you out with this question about Filter Bar/displaying by category! 🙂
You can definitely do this & here are two ways you could go about it:
Use the Events Calendar Pro shortcodes to display the calendars and use the category argument. (This, however, will only allow you to display a mini calendar)
So, what  I’d recommend instead is linking in your menu to the pre-filtered calendar (requires the Filter Bar plugin). Here are some examples of how that would look in practice from our demo site, WP Shindig:
Let me know if you have any follow up questions about this, and of course, after you purchase,  you’ll be able to get support for implementing either of these solutions over on our premium forums. 🙂
