ParticipantHello,
I found this thread — https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/filter-by-date-on-map-view/ — which describes the same issue I’m having:
“I wish to display only the events on a particular date in the MAP view when using the Date Filter rather than it including further events.
“For some reason it is including later events which is confusing in the map view as the locations display may not taking place on that day. You can use your own Map page as an example by Picking the 4th March 2015 which has 2 events but show 4 on the map.
“Ideally when using the date filer it need a From to Range so that these extra events are not shown or the DAY VIEW plus a MAP.”
My assumption was that if I choose a date it’ll return all events on that day. Right now it is returning events on that day and others after it (I think). It sounds like this was a known bug and you were working on it. Have there been any updates on this recently?
Thanks.

ParticipantHey Courtney,
I’m sorry that you’re still having trouble with this feature on your site, but unfortunately the best thing I can think of is quite similar to what Gustavo said originally in the thread you linked to. To quote him directly:
So we already have this inside of our feature/bug tracker, it should be implemented in the future, but It’s not a simple solution for the moment.
In one of our future versions this will be delivered to the users, but I cannot promise any dates, I can only say that our developer are already working on that.
His comment about this “not being a simple solution” is still unfortunately true – and I’m looking through our changelogs and development tracker and unfortunately not seeing that this has been something addressed in recent releases. I do not have an ETA on the arrival of this myself, but will continue to look and will post here if I find out any more information about this.
Sorry to disappoint Courtney – let me know if you have any further questions, comments, or concerns!

ParticipantShoot, that’s a bummer. One of the main reasons the client was into using this plugin was for the search by date option. Here’s hoping it gets resolved soon. Thanks for the quick response.

ParticipantSorry for the disappointment Courtney, I really am 🙁 If it’s any consolation, we’re working hard on a quick followup release full of bug fixes and “smaller” tweaks of the nature of this date-filtering behavior for example. I don’t have an ETA but stay tuned to release news, and if any other questions, comments, or concerns arise, please open a new thread any time!
Thank you,
