Filter bar not appearing when using shortcode

I am using the short code [tribe-events] to display the calendar but the filter bar is not showing.

How do I get this to display?

It appears on the default events page but I do not want to use that page as I want to display other information on the page using a visual page builder tool.

Hi Matt,

Unfortunately, at this time our [tribe_events] shortcode does not offer any support for the Filter Bar filters — these filters only show up on the main calendar page at this time, and will not show on any [tribe_events] shortcode instance. 🙁

Please let us know if you plan to work on this, because my “main calendar page” does not use my site’s WordPress Period-Pro theme page template and I cannot switch off my widgets on the right hand side. This makes viewing all my staff events messy to view.

If I use the main Events Calendar Pro shortcode on a page template, then at least I can view my calendar on a wide page.

It is essential to use the ‘Filter Bar’ function to break down the listings as there isn’t any way to have an at-a-glance view of each event category (maybe colour attributes?).

I’ve just paid $89 to use this function and am frustrated by its limitations.

Hi Debra,

We do plan on incorporating support for this, but there is not a specific launch date for the arrival of that support yet at this time. It will hopefully come some time before summer of 2017 is upon us.
