    Hello,

I’m interested in using Event Tickets Plus. I’m sorry this is probably a stupid question, but I couldn’t find the answer in the forum.

How much would I pay per transaction? Is it a flat rate or a percentage of the credit card payment?

    Thank you.

    Howdy Dan,

I would love to help you with this. That’s not a stupid question at all.

Paying for Event Tickets Plus is just a one-time payment to us. There is not charge per ticket sold. However, if you are not already familiar with running an Ecommerce store then there is something you should know: if you wish to accept credit cards online then you will need a “payment gateway”. A popular one is PayPal Express. When you customer inputs a credit card these details are forwarded to the payment gateway such as PayPal, and PayPal typically charges ~3% for each transaction. The exact fee will depend on the gateway you choose.

Setting up an ecommerce store can require a bit of knowhow and certainly some higher costs than your average website. If you wish to avoid all of that you might be interested in a service like Eventbrite. They will sell the tickets for you on their website which already has a store setup, while take their fee. Their offering ties in well with Eventbrite Tickets, an alternative plugin we have that functions very similar to Event Tickets Plus.

Does that all make sense? Does that answer your questions? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

    – Brook
