I am Timely developer. I want to move my many calendars. I am not happy with the direction the company is going in and can not longer tolerate their total lack of vision in terms of mapping and a variety of other things. As a developer, I lose money when I can’t even add a simple iframe to Timely. The Timely calendar is dumbed down that it is useless to me as part of my development stack.

That said, I’d like to find out about feeds from your Events Calendar. Many of my Timely calendars are comprised of 20 to 30 feeds from affiliated Timely calendars. As you know I can add a feed from one Timely calendar into another. Timely also offers and embed script.

I have a huge job coming. I will build a website for an umbrella organization and need to have its calendar fed by perhaps 50 other member calendars.

    Do you support such feeds?

    Thanks.

    Hello Mark,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Based on what you say I understand that you want to be able to import events from other calendars.

If that is the case then Event Aggregator might be a solution for you. It can import from several sources, including Facebook, MeetUp, Google Cal, iCalendars / ics files and other WP sites running The Events Calendar.

Is this what you are looking for? Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Cheers,
    Andras

Thanks for the information. It will be useful in the future. It isn’t what I need at this point. Perhaps, I wasn’t clear. My network will consist of 50 Modern Tribe calendars. I will buy these and set them up on each stakeholder website. My client has the master calendar which will be feed by the 50 satellite calendars. My question is, therefore, will this network of 50 Modern Tribe calendars be able to share events with the other calendars in this network by way of feeds from one Modern Tribe calendar to the next?

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Hi Mark,

    Thanks for clarifying.

By means of only having feeds in place I’m not sure that will be possible.

Event Aggregator does have the option of scheduled imports, so you can set up imports to be run every half hour, hour, daily, weekly or monthly, or on demand.

This can be done between as many sites as you wish. It will only depend on the license, the number of events and the server resources (in case of thousands of events).

    To give you a scenario:

You can set up 50 sites and enter separate events into all of them.

Then have a 51st site which then imports all the events from the other 50 sites, so you will have an aggregated calendar. For this you will need to set up 50 scheduled imports.

Our basic license offers 100 imports per day, so if you set up 50 daily imports you are covered.

One note, when importing from other WP sites, you can only import events max. 3 months in advance.

Another case: it would also be possible to “sync” two calendars, doing imports of each other. Though this scenario hasn’t been thoroughly tested, it should work.

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
