Features and Functionality

Hello,

I’m in the process of having my website rebuilt. I am looking for a calendar to plug into the WordPress site. Below are some of the items we’re looking for in a calendar. Can you please take a look at the list below and let me know if your calendar provides these features? Thank you in advance for your help.

1. A monthly view that includes the start time and the name of the class
2. A monthly view that does not have to show the end time
3. A calendar list view that can display the start date of a class and the end date
4. A calendar list view that can display the start date, without displaying the end date. (In other words, sometimes show the end date, sometimes not.)
5. The ability to add recurring classes that have the same name with different start times (for example, on Mondays the class is from 6:15pm – 7:45pm, on Saturdays the class is from 9:00am – 10:15am)
6. A calendar that is free of formatting issues
7. Assign categories to the classes for display and search options. Also, allow more than one category per class
8. Include a recurring events tool
9. List a class with a price associated with it
10. List a class without a price associated with it (free or love offering)
11. Link the teacher information (bio and picture) to the class
12. Allow students to pre-register and pay for the class online
13. Allow students to pre-register without paying for the class online
14. Include multiple views that users can select from (ideally if the view menu is static and displays all view option without hovering over it, etc.)
15. A search option that allows customers to search by teacher, class title, timeframe, category or a combination of these items.
16. Allow multiple price options (e.g. drop-in fee, services fee, monthly fee) for 1 class. Please include maximum number of prices can be displayed for one class.

Hi,

Thanks for the interest in our plugins.

I can answer your questions. The free version of the Calendar has both a month view and list view that do what you are asking if you set the end time to 00:00 it will not show. It also has the category system built and each category gets a Month or List view. There is also a cost field that only displays when entered. You can find the free version here:

The Events Calendar

The Events Calendar Pro includes recurring Events, the recurring events work this way:

The organizer could be renamed to a teacher, but there is not bio or image field and that would have to be added by you.

As for items 12 through 16 we do not have any features that do what you are asking. It could be done with customization, but that is beyond the support we can provide. You would be better off looking for a Booking Plugin to achieve this.
