Featured Image Uploading Problems

Hopefully I am not adding a post that has already been added here. 🙂 Running 4.7.2. WordPress theme, and 4.4.1 on Events Calendar Pro. Every time I attempt to upload a JPG featured image, I get this message: “Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons.” Any ideas why this is happening?

Thanks for reaching out.

This sort of message is not something that our plugins would show themselves; this may be arising because of limitations imposed by your server.

I would recommend contacting your web hosting provider’s support and mentioning this — they may be able to identify why this would be happening.
