featured image option is missing on a "new event" page

I just downloaded your Pro calendar app and was interested in using the Photo view. I do not see the option to add a featured image. I see someone else posted about this same issue but I do not understand the fix for it. I am not super savy on html and creating directories, etc.

So what you’re looking for here is a Featured Image meta box within the event editor (usually fairly low down on the right hand side of the screen):

If you aren’t seeing that then we’ll need to explore other possibilities as follows.

For instance, I see you already tried deactivating all other plugins/reverting to a default, unmodified theme – did that resolve this and allow you to assign featured images? If so, my hunch would be your theme is only registering featured image (or “post thumbnail”) support for a handful of post types.

If not, and those steps made no difference, please check the Screen Options pull down when in the event editor and ensure Featured Image has been checked.

When I look at the screen options in the event edit screen, I don’t see a option to check off “featured image”, there are quite a few others checked off like Excerpt, Comments, Discussion, etc.
Huh?? Not sure where to go with this, I also don’t see a “featured image on the top of the page when I preview my calendar. I am not sure where I would upload that picture, but I do mot see a featured image meta box in any of the menu items to do this.

OK, so re the above question can you confirm if this is still a problem if you change to a default theme/deactivate all other plugins?

Let me know how you get on with this – what you may need to do if this is a theme issue is make an adjustment using WordPress’s add_theme_support() function (to ensure thumbnails/featured images work with events) 🙂

I am having the same problem today when I upgraded to the pro version. I have the option to set a Featured Image in normal posts. Just not in the Event Calendar.

I have checked a few things and cannot bring the function back. I know that my theme Pagelines Platform Pro supports the Featured Image in Event Calendar because I was able to use the function prior to upgrading to Event Calendar Pro.
