ParticipantWe use The Events Calendar Pro in conjunction with the Church Suite theme by Webnus. The original code excludes a link on the featured image for events. We contacted Webnus and they gave us a solution to add a link. However, the link for each event does not direct to the event post page, but the homepage. We want the featured image link to go to the specific event, just like clicking on the title does.
This is the structure they are using that EXCLUDES the link: echo tribe_event_featured_image($id ,’latest-cover’,true );
This is the structure that INCLUDES the link: echo ‘‘.tribe_event_featured_image($id ,’latest-cover’,true ). ‘‘;
All we want is the featured image to go to the event link once clicked. Can you help at all? We’re 3 days into this now.

ParticipantJason,
If you look at the demo site of your theme author, you will see that it does the same thing in their demo.
Since this webnus_events widget is customized by Webnus, I would continue your on-going discussion with their support to see if they can resolve it. At least, let them know it’s not just you that is effected and to check their demo site for an example of the issue.
Hope this helps.

ModeratorHello,
The best way to go about this would be to “hack” their overwrites within [your-theme]/tribe-events (created by your theme author) so the featured image URL links to the event.
@Mathew nailed it right on the head as this will need to be handled through your theme author or custom development as theme conflicts extend beyond what we’re able to support. (see What support is provided for license holders?)
Thanks to the both of you and please feel free to reply back with any more questions or comments you have. Cheers!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
