I have just installed the plugin for WooCommerce tickets and similar to Pamela who posted on the 29th Jan 2015 (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/featured-image-conflict-with-woo-commerce/) I too have a problem with the Featured image disappearing from the add or edit events page. If I disable Woo Commerce it reappears. I already have the ‘add_theme_support’ code in place.

Any and all help greatly appreciated

Thanks Olaf for that added information. Are you also running the uDesign theme? If not, what is the name of your theme?

Either way it seems probable this is the result of a conflict. Have you already isolated it to a theme? If so then once I know the name I might be able to provide further tips. However if you haven’t isolated it, it would be the logical next step to do so. It makes little sense to chase after the theme if that does not end up being the problem. Here is how: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Cheers!

    Morning Brook,

Yes I am also running the U-Design theme. Had a site crash last night so once I get it back up I shall get for the theme conflict but I think you are right and that it is related to U-Design

    Hi Brook,

I have solved the illusive theme issue. By updated the theme to the latest version it seemed to solve the Featured Image problem, I also checked the code that I had originally place to add theme support and it was no longer needed.

For anyone else out there I noticed that within the package are updated plugins that also need to be installed one of which is for woocommerce, may be a coincident but once everything was up to date it all worked, so I’m happy.

Thank you for being available and have a great day
