Featured event not appearing at the top of the upcoming events widget

I have marked an event as ‘featured’ (http://cru.org.au/event/3-events-for-3-decades/) but it is not getting pinned to the to of the widget that’s on our homepage ([do_widget id=tribe-events-adv-list-widget-7]).

It will show the featured event ONLY when I select that option in the widget menu (under appearance) but I can’t see why it’s not working.

When marked as “Featured”, events will only be highlighted and not pinned to the top of the lists, so I believe you are getting the right behavior.

If there are other upcoming events prior to the the featured event you mention, then those will show up first.

Hi Margaret,

Yes, featured events are shown with a blue backgroun by default and show the featured image in the List View.

Unfortunately, there is no built-in functionality to pin an event to the top of a calendar list. Like you mentioned before, you can check the option to only show featured events in a widget. So, you could create two widgets, one for featured events and another to show all upcoming events.
