So we just got this answer below to the email we sent FB about their Events API. Not good. At this point we have no clue what we are going to do. We have no “plan b”.

At this point, I would advise looking into alternate data sources for event information.

Jon – Not trying to be difficult. The events we post to OUR OWN FB page are not even being fetched by our plugin.
The API is not accessible to anyone (even pages with tokens) at this time is our understanding.
Our fetches (GETS) are coming back blank for even basic event info like name, descriptive, dates, times and location.
I don’t believe we can even make an app application at this time. Isn’t your app application process closed ?
No one we’ve been in contact with, including the big Facebook Event Importer plugin companies like Modern Tribe and SlickRemix are getting any data from FB on their products fetches either.
We’re just trying to find out from you IF event data will ever be available via your API again. The developer community is leaning toward no. If that is the case we’ll need to find another alternative.
Our Upcoming Events page is already 1000’s of events behind just since 4/11.

Thanks for the feedback. At this point, we are in the same position as you are aware. We are continuing to work with Facebook and try to get answers or a workaround. We will keep our community up to date with any new information.
