Fatal error: Class ‘Tribe__PUE__Package_Handler’ not found in /home3/rlwesterberg/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/common/src/Tribe/PUE/Checker.php on line 200

Is this from the update, or is it something else?

I cannot log into my wp-admin page at all.

    Thanks!

I tried to update events tickets/ events tickets pro. My site got a fatal error and I was locked out of my Workpress admin.
Fatal error: Class ‘Tribe__PUE__Package_Handler’ not found in /home/MY-WORDPRESS-SITE_FOLDER/wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/common/src/Tribe/PUE/Checker.php on line 200

I’m not a tech guy. I had to go into my hosting account, find the wordpress contents folder and then physically delete the Events Calendar and the Events Calendar Pro Folders. My site came up immediately and I had access back into my wordpress site. Others have recommended uploading the Pre-FATAL-update version and re-installing it.

I am extremely disappointed that this issue was not tested before release, and that the support is virtually non-existent for this plug-in. The time I wasted trying to get this site back up cost me more than the plug-in I paid for….okay tribe… comp me some upgrades.

    I hope this helps!

Good evening Randy and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the fatal error you have experienced while updating our plugins.
I would love to help you with this topic.

First, let us apologize for any inconvenience that this might have caused on your site.

We have just released some patches for the Events Calendar and Event Tickets plugins.

The ultimate fix is to download the latest update (4.3.1.1) and make sure the updated plugin gets activated before any other plugins of our suite.

If the error in question is stopping you from accessing your website dashboard (/wp-admin/), you need to find a way to disable our plugins temporarily.

To do so, you will need FTP or File Manager (via CPanel) access:

    1. Find the following folder on your installation: /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/
    2. Rename it to something like /wp-content/plugins/z_the-events-calendar/
This will deactivate the plugin and let you access your dashboard again.

Once you do, you can revert the name change back to /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/ , the plugin will stay deactivated.

You can now update the plugins to the latest version and reactivate them.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Hello Kev,

    Thank you for chiming in.

As stated above, we are terribly sorry for this issue. We do take this very seriously.
In fact, this is why a fix was issued almost immediately after the issue came to our attention.

Please know that we do run extensive QA testing on everything we develop.
Alas, in rare instances, as was the case here, issues happen during the compilation of the packages used for the updates.

We totally understand how frustrating this experience must have been for everybody involved, hence our reactiveness. We absolutely hate bugs too!

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.
