ParticipantThis came up before but I have been away and you c;osed the thread. I am getting a fatal error when trying to reactivate Events PRO – see below.
Warning: require_once(lib/tribe-events-pro-pue.class.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home3/squirepm/public_html/wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/events-calendar-pro.php on line 1812
Any ideas? Should I just see if I can reinstall it. ThanksJanuary 20, 2014 at 11:15 am #94797Barry
MemberTrying to reinstall it isn’t a bad idea here. Are you at home working by FTP and if so can you tell me if that file is indeed missing? It would normally be located in the Events Calendar PRO plugin directory, something like this:
wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/lib/tribe-events-pro-pue.class.php
If it is missing then I can only guess something went wrong when it was initially uploaded – and re-uploading may be worthwhile here. If it is actually present though it may be some sort of environmental issue at work.
Let me know how you get on!

Member(Could also be worth taking a peek at your system information, if you want to share it – you can find it at the bottom of the Events → Help admin screen. Thanks!)

ParticipantI couldn’t find the file and I couldn’t delete the plug in since it gave me the same fatal error, I have renamed a folder and installed an older version of Pro – hoping it will prompt me to upgrade overnight. The older version of course doesn’t line up with the basic events calendar. I deleted some data in an attempt to fool it into letting me reinstall so I suspect I may have lost stuff – never mind – there wasn’t a lot for this year yet.

MemberOK, but it would be a shame if you lost data even if only a small amount.
Generally speaking if you need to re-install you can make use of a site maintenance plugin (to stop casual visitors from accidentally disrupting things – though this isn’t always necessary), then delete the existing plugin and upload a fresh copy.
The older version of course doesn’t line up with the basic events calendar.
Right – you do need to ensure the correct versions are paired up with one another (ie, The Events Calendar 3.2 and Events Calendar PRO 3.2, if those are the versions you wish to use). Certainly if you couldn’t find the file I referenced it sounds like either something went wrong when it was initially uploaded or else it was the incorrect version.
Good luck – let us know how you get on or if you need further help here 🙂

ParticipantHi Barry, thanks for all the help. I am not sure about that maintenance plug in. However issue is now resolvd. I saved the licence key and went to the Dashboard and checked for updates. Events Pro update appeared and updated successfully. I don’t know what I deleted since all my data still appears to be there and it is working alright. Thanks once again. I still have a theme conflict that I have had for a while that mucks up some features but that is another story. Cheers for now.

MemberGreat! And since this thread’s not seen much activity recently so I’ll go ahead and close it. Of course if you still need help with this or any other issue please don’t hesitate to create a new thread (or threads) and one of the team will be only too happy to help. Thanks!
