I have exactly the same problem stated here , I wonder if it has been solved…. in 3 days the site is going to production, and now all of a sudden I have this error. Is there a quick fix for this? I can’t revert to PHP 5!!!!

I had to revert to php 5.6 because I couldn’t access events settings to display debug data….

    Hi there Riccardo,

Thanks for getting in touch with us! Sorry to hear about this issue, as George stated a while back in the related thread we still don’t fully support PHP 7.

I’ll touch base with my manager on this tomorrow and will let you know what’s our plan for supporting PHP 7. I’m aware some issues with PHP 7 have already been ironed out, but I couldn’t find this one logged, so I went a head an created a new bug ticket for this.

I’ll give you a heads-up on this tomorrow,
    Best,
    Nico

PS: Also, if the site is going to production in 3 days I totally NOT recommend doing so with PHP 7. Although we might be able to find a quick workaround for this issue, some others might pop-up!

    Hey Riccardo,

Just wanted to give you a heads-up on this issue. We were unable to reproduce the fatal in three different servers using PHP 7 and 7.0.10, so we are not sure about the issue 🙁

Also, I was informed we are supporting PHP 7 and will try to fix any issues that come up, like we do with other bugs!

Can you please try to reproduce this in another PHP 7 server? Maybe a local one?

    Thanks,
    Nico

Thank you Nico, I am glad to hear from you that PHP 7 is definitely supported, as the plugin is publicly advertised as “5.x or greater” compatible.

Now as soon as possible I will be setting up a staging site so you may test as you like the problem. Until then let’s leave this ticket open!

    Thanks

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
