fast forward list/month to next upcoming event in regular content display

i see you have guided people to how to do this using the calendar widget. can it be modified for the regular calendar display in content (the big one)?

If I create an event that has a date far in the future (for example, to occur a year from now in 2016), and that’s the only event I’ve added, then it should display on the default list view even though it’s far in the future. Are you seeing something different on your installation?

no that’s correct. but it doesnt work that way on month view, which is really what i need.

Hi Nicole,

Thanks for the clarification. Unfortunately, this is the way that the calendar view functions. Changing that behavior would require customization that’s a bit out of scope of what we’re able to provide here on the support forums. As an alternative, you could set your default view as List which will display your events in the behavior that you’re after (Events > Settings > Display > Default View).

I also want to suggest adding this as a future option to our User Voice page. This is where we’re prioritizing feature requests and getting them added to future releases if possible.
