"Falling off" I have an issue with past events "disappearing" from grid

I have been using this plugin to test it and have a major issue with events that have ocurred disappearing when using this in conjunction with plugin like Essential Grid and “The Grid” when an event passes it disappears off the grid. This has got to be some relatively easy fix but I didn’t want to invest in “pro” version unless this is fixable. We are an annual conference based website and we want to be able to display past events for a significant time.

I’ve put in a significant amount of time to customizing the free version only to find that after the event passed all my “sessions” disappeared. Is there a fix for this. We have no issues with the Individual Event listings disappearing or the Tribe listings it’s just the ones for which I used Essential grid to set a display of sessions/events.

Was completely happy with this plugin until the sudden disappearance of everything from the conference.

Hoping there an easy answer — I am comfortable with challenging code but this one has thrown me for a loop
