Hi. I am working with a new sports facility that needs to schedule their facility’s for use. We have looked at entire applications that address this, but I’m wondering if you think we could just use Events Calendar Pro for this? Here is what I view as the use case:

    Who: Facility Coordinator
    What: Create an Event
    Info:
    Client (Required)
Venue (Required) (Field 1, Field 2, Batting Cage 1, Classroom 1, etc.)
    Trainer (Optional)
    Time (Booked time slot)

    Who: Client
What: View event, add to calendar, set reminder
    Questions:
If a client opens an event, is there an “Add to calendar” link that will put it on their calendar?

If they open an event, is there a “Remind Me” link which they could then set to email or text them x days or x hours before the event? Or could this be programmed automatically when the even was created? For example, email client 1 day before the event?

    Hi Casey,

Thanks for your interest in our plugins. A number of the features you need are not built into The Events Calendar or Events Calendar PRO, but if you are willing to do some customizing and/or hire a developer, you may be able to build what you need using our plugin(s) as the base.

Events Calendar PRO does allow you to create Additional Fields, so you could add Clients, Trainers, and Time Slots to your events. However, there is not a built in way to make any of those fields required. Also, our plugin does not facilitate time slot booking- you could mark the time slot on the event, but there isn’t a front end functionality for site visitors to book a time slot. We do have ticketing plugins, but they sell tickets for events with a single date, time, and venue.

Site visitors can view events on the front end of the site, and can also export them to Google Calendar or iCal. There are no built-in reminders at this time, although you could potentially build one or use a third-party plugin.

Let me know if I can elaborate further, or answer any more questions.

    Best,

    Leah
