Hey there, so I’ve noticed that when someone shares the default calendar page from my site the description on Facebook is automatically pulling a description for one of my events, sometimes an event from the following month. Either way this is not relevant to the calendar as a whole. You can see what I’m talking about here: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/ by choosing to Fetch New Scrape Information for the url https://cfimichigan.org/events/

I have a default image set up in another plugin for SEO that correctly pulls this default image for all other pages, but not the page that the events calendar is using as the default.

Also makes the google meta description not relevant for the default events page.

How can we manually adjust this?

    Hi There!

Thanks for getting in touch with us!

We don’t generate any og meta information by default. You can use the snippet a user shared in the following thread to accomplish that > https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/ogimage-for-archive-page/#dl_post-1331563

I hope that helps. Let me know if any follow up question 🙂

    Best,
    Victor
