Hi All,
I reached my import limit, and read the article, but I don’t see what happens next.So if I have 150 facebook groups and I run a scheduled import daily, do I reach my limit of 100 when I’ve CHECKED the first 100 groups, or when I’ve IMPORTED events from 100 groups?
Once I reach the limit, what happens the next day? Does it start at group 1, or does it start where the previous day left off?
Thanks for having such a great product!
Don.

Thanks for reaching out to us and for the kind words 🙂
Let me help you with those questions.
Every scheduled import that runs will account for your import limit, regardless of having events to import or not.
If you have more that 100 imports scheduled to run each day, you will reach your daily import limit. When reaching this limit Scheduled imports will be paused until the next day, but unfortunately they will start over at the beginning.
What I’d suggest in your case is scheduling weekly imports that are staggered over the week.
You might have already seen the article about the Event Aggregator import limits, but let me share it just in case >Â https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/event-aggregators-import-limits-work/
I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

Thanks for the info. Yes, I saw the article.I have 116 scheduled imports, so I’ll review what I have and pare them down.
I’ve had a major problem with EA for quite a while. I will look at my
history, see that a group has zero imports, then visit the group and see a
bunch of events listed. I go to one event and can always manually import it.Is there a reason that EA would not see an event listed in a group? I am
sure that this is an issue that is independent of the limit discussion we
just had. What is EA looking for? A listing within the group, or the events tab
associated with the group? Or both? Here is an example.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/tucsontango/
https://www.facebook.com/groups/tucsontango/events/
From this example, it appears that all events at the
https://www.facebook.com/groups/tucsontango/events/ page were imported
already. But that could have been because they were listed by other groups. On the https://www.facebook.com/groups/tucsontango/ main page the first two
events listed were not imported and I was able to import them manually. Here’s one. https://www.facebook.com/events/187747148627864/
So from this I would guess that even though a group may MENTION an event,
unless it’s in the group’s events page, EA doesn’t see it. Is that right?I see a lot of this occurring.
Thanks for your insights…
This is my website in case you’re interested… It’s pretty much built

Thanks for following up with this.
You are right about that. While some events show up in this group https://www.facebook.com/groups/tucsontango/events/ and seem to be from the group itself, they were actually created outside of the group by some other users or pages.
Those events will only be available to import using the event URL or page URL where they were created from.
I hope that clears things out. Let me know if any questions 🙂
