Most of the time the import:facebook section breaks, I figured that I’m importing events from many facebook pages so I reduced them to about 5 pages. That makes the whole tool useless to me, I need to be able to import the events from the pages without it breaking, any suggestions?

    Hi,

Sorry for the issues you are having. It sounds like you are running into php timeout on your server. The process of importing events can take a while as each one waits for a response from Facebook to get it.

Are you able to increase the php timeout and see if that help.

    Let me know.

    Thanks

I have increased the memory to the max, still it consumes it. Is there any way I can make it import one page per minute or something like that?

Unfortunately, not without changes to the coding, there is not option for that.

In the next release for Facebook Events we are working on improving the efficiency of the script, but there is only so much we can do as it will still rely on Facebook for the results and the speed at which a server can process those results.

What are you currently setting the automatic import frequency to? Do you think you could manually import all the unimported events and then set that to hourly it would be able to keep up with the load?
