facebook image not loading

Hi

Here is my event listing:

It may not be public, so I’ve also attached a screen shot.

I’ve deleted and reloaded the feature image, and run the URL through the facebook debugger, but it’s still not showing up.

Any suggestions?

Hi

It’s been four days and I am still waiting for a response. I need to publicize this event on social media, and it’s a problem that the image is not loading. Can you please let me know what I need to do to fix it?

Hi Sarah,

I’m sorry for the delay here! Please note for future reference that we typically do not have support available over the weekends.

I ran the URL you sent through the Facebook Debugger, and the image was showing up for me (see screenshot). Are you seeing the same thing now? Due to the way that Facebook scrapes and caches metadata from the URLs you share, the image will not be generated the first time the link is shared. Once you throw it in the Facebook Debugger, the image will be cached and appear the next time the link is shared. I see that you are using Yoast, which can help ensure that the metadata displayed is in the best form possible to avoid issues with how links are previewed (see this article for more info – the “Some undocumented Facebook ‘features’” section might be particularly helpful).

Otherwise, there unfortunately isn’t anything we can do on our end to change the way that the Facebook link preview displays. I hope this helps, but if you still have any questions, please let me know!
