Facebook events – question

Hello, I have a few questions regarding the functionality of facebook events add-on.

• When an event has an image on facebook, is it also imported?
• What if the facebook event gets updated/changed(ex: fixed typo on title,changed date), will it update on the wordpress site?
• Exactly, what information fields are imported?

Hi Pauls and thanks for reaching out!

When an event has an image on facebook, is it also imported?

Yes, the image is imported as well and gets added to the WordPress library.

What if the facebook event gets updated/changed(ex: fixed typo on title,changed date), will it update on the wordpress site?

No, I’m afraid Facebook Events will not sync that information up. The event is imported from Facebook. You can certainly re-import an event that has been updated, but the plugin will not look for changes to sync automatically.

Exactly, what information fields are imported?

Facebook Events will import the following:

• Title
• Description
• Featured image
• Start and end dates/times
• Venue/address
• Organizer

From there, you  can categorize or tag an event as you would any other WordPress post. You can also set events so that they import as drafts or published posts.
