Facebook Events not importing properly

Hey there,
I’m having some issues with my Facebook events feed. If you look here, https://www.facebook.com/tavernonbroadwaynewport/events most of the Mintones events fall on a Friday. However if you go to the site calendar in July http://www.tavernonbroadway.com/events/2014-07/ for some reason the Friday events seem to fall on Saturdays..
Also, I’m still getting repeat events after the date passes. Every one usually multiplies 14 or 21 times and I have to manually delete them.
Could you let me know what I’m doing wrong here?

Hi Kristen:

It looks like the times for the source events on Facebook are expressed in EDT – could it be that your WordPress site is configured to use a different timezone, resulting in a conversion?

That may be the issue. How do I refresh the import once I’ve set the time zone properly? It’s weird–this wasn’t an issue in May…

I’m afraid that, once the events have been imported, changing the timezone in WordPress’s General Settings will not cause previously imported events to be updated retrospectively.

So, really, manually updating them or else bulk deleting (including removing the deleted events from the trash) and re-importing are probably the best ways forward.
