Facebook Event Importer pre-sales question

Hi, I am considering purchasing the Facebook Event importer add-on. However, there is one main question I need answered first. Because we are using the events calendar shortcode add-on as well, we are using categories for our events so that we can list upcoming events automatically in the sidebar of our training pages. I’m wondering if there is a way to have those categories assigned in a FB event so that when the events calendar pulls them automatically they are assigned to the correct category. Is there a field in FB where we can assign a category? Thank you! Katie

Hi Katie,

Great question and thanks for checking out the plugin!

I’m afraid that there is no setting to import events from Facebook into a default category using Facebook Events. You can set the status of imported events to Draft and then categorize them before publishing them, but that’s about as close as it gets for now.
