One of our users just let me know that when he exports the full-year calendar (Jan 1 – Dec 31) into iCal and ‘declines’ events, that it then sends the promoter (if their contact info is connected to the event) an email telling them they ‘declined’ their event. Is this a setting we can change? Once a user downloads a calendar, we don’t want it contacting the promoter. Please help.

Hi. I’m unsure how this would be happening. Please explain in detail each step to reproduce this so we can try replicating this behavior.

For starters, where does the user get the Full Year calendar and its .ics file download or iCalendar URL?

    Cliff (and Drew):

You can download the full-year calendar on this page: http://ncnca.org/calendar-downloads/

One of our racers, Drew, reported the problem. I have cc’ed him on this email and copied his explanation below.

Drew – can you give more information? Which calendar you downloaded, what OS you’re using and which device? On my Mac, I only have the option to delete a race, not do ‘decline’. And I also wonder if just ‘deleting’ a race instead prevents this.

    > I hope you are doing well. I downloaded the NCNCA race calendar and have been filtering through the races to figure out what races I want to do this upcoming season. Turns out that when I decline (and probably accept) races to stay on my iCalendar, it sends a notification to promoters who have their information listed.

    Hey all,

I am running macOS Sierra 10.12 and downloaded the event calendar. I
believe I exported the events here
    .
Let me know if you need any other info.

Hi. Could you please specify which event was declined so I can work off that example?

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
