    Hi,

Unfortunately my client has a requirement to export the calendar to something like Word so thay can print it out and pin it on a bulletin board at a club.

I realise this is crazy, but what can we do?

Have you any cool way around this? Worst case scenario I’m guessing is a very custom MySQL query and PHP to text, but I was hoping you may have come across something similar before and may have a ‘try this route’ or ‘someone once did this’ kind of answer.

    Thanks in Advance

    Hey Andy,

Thanks for reaching out. I am sorry to admit that our support for printing-out the calendars is quite minimal.

In fairness, it’s not terrible. If you go to our demo site and print the page, for example, the generated calendar pages are not that bad – http://wpshindig.com/events/

I’ve uploaded the generated PDF here if you’re interested in checking it out: https://cloudup.com/c40-8PpxEIe

The problem is that this relies heavily on the styles of the theme being used, too, so the theme on that page is using a full-width page template there. If there were a sidebar and other stuff, for example, then the printed output would be much less appealing.

I’m sorry about this not-ideal news, Andy. We don’t have anything else inside the plugin that would make printing easier – the only thing I could think of would be to “export” the events and then import them into some other application that allows for better calendar printing. I do not know of such an application – just saying that something like this would be the best approach I can think of, if there is an application out there that would let you import and print out the events in more appealing way.

Let me know if this information helps!
