Export Next Year's Events

In this past forum discussion (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/export-entire-year-to-ics-file/) moderator Cliff mentioned: “If preferable, there’s a code snippet to share just the events one year out from today.”

I could really use that code snippet.

I am needing to export next year’s (2017) events. Yet navigating the calendar view into January or February 2017 and exporting the month’s (or year’s) events simply exports the current month or year.

I did install the tribe-snippet-ical-export.zip plugin and configured the recommended code snippet for adding a second button in my functions.php file, but still am having the same trouble. It refuses to output any dates past this year.

So is it possible to provide the “code snippet to share just the events one year out from today.?

Thanks for reaching out.

Just to set expectations honestly and early, we unfortunately cannot provide support for customizations, including support for custom code snippets. As evidenced by what we were able to put together in that thread you linked to, we certainly try to help folks if we can manage to produce a bit of custom code.

With this in mind, let’s return to your actual questions; it sounds like what you’re saying is that this snippet works fine for you in terms of generating all of the events of this year. So, e.g., it’ll generate all events of 2016 fine. But you want it to generate all events of 2017 instead.

☝️ Is this a correct summation of your goals? If not, how specifically is it not accurate?

With this clarification, I will try to modify the snippet for you.
