Expanded vs collapsed event list

At the backend admin page for the events calendar, recurring events are expanded and listed as individual events. Is there an option or patch that can be set to always show a collapsed events list? This mode would make it much easier to view and manage events at the backend.

Perhaps ECP 3.x behaves differently – we still use ECP 2.x.

Hi Andrew,

This particular behavior of how recurring events are handled in the backend did not change between ECP 2.x and ECP 3.x. The way it is currently engineered, when you publish a recurring event, each event is created separately and they are linked together to allow you to “view all”. It would be require a significant overhaul of how these events are handled in the system to allow it to do what you’d like. Once they’re created, there’s no real way to collapse them again.

I understand what you mean about making it easier to manage events at the backend, it’s just not the way it’s currently designed. Sorry I can’t offer more.
