ParticipantIs it possible to exclude some types of recurring events from the automatic clean-up feature (preferably by event category)? This feature is handy for removing the majority of our old recurring events, but there are a select few (such as dinner theatre productions) that we’d like to keep an ongoing archive of so that visitors can see our past productions.

Interestingly enough it looks to me as if the particular piece of code that handles cleanup has become unhooked and won’t run as expected – at least not in our latest builds.
Setting that issue aside for the moment, it doesn’t actually look as if it is set up in such a way as to easily allow the cleanup query to be modified.
I can certainly see the utility in what you’re suggesting, though, and will log an issue so we can consider this in a future release.

MemberCertainly, it makes sense to me and I’ve logged it as a proposal (besides making a note that we need to fix the cleanup facilitiy generally).
At this point I don’t think there’s too much more we can offer, in the short term at least, and will close the topic.
Of course, if you have any other issues that you need help with please don’t hesitate to open new topics as needed and one of the team will be only too happy to assist 🙂

Thanks again for your post. We wanted to get in touch and let you know that although we weren’t able to address this issue in our upcoming 3.10 release, it is still very much a priority.
