Exclude Certain Categories On Community Add Page

Hello I’d like to exclude certain categories on http://autismallianceofmichigan.org/events/community/add

Is this possible, thanks!

Thanks for getting in touch! You should be able to hide certain categories by pasting the following snippet into your theme’s functions.php file: https://gist.github.com/ckpicker/cbc1bc4d798604d8eb77

A couple of notes:

• You’ll need to modify the array of excluded Category IDs to exclude your desired items
• This will also hide Category checkboxes on the Community ‘Edit Event’ screen

Sorry, not working. Also on my dashboard the event calendar controls don’t show up.

Can you elaborate a bit? Did you paste the code into your theme’s functions.php file and modify the IDs to the Event Category IDs that you’d like to exclude?

Are you referring to the WordPress Dashboard? If so, then I’m not sure what you’re referring to, since our plugin doesn’t add any widgets to the WordPress dashboard. Could you explain this a bit more also, or include a screenshot, so I can investigate further? Thanks! 🙂
