Exclude category from site calendar?

I would like to create a calendar to highlight the open hours for a department’s page on the website. I’ve been using this technique for other departments and pages without problem, but now I’d rather not have these events included on the main site calendar, since there would be an event for practically every day of the year. Is it possible to exclude a category from the main calendar view?

Thanks for using our plugins and I do have a snippet you can try.

You will find the code here you will need to add to your theme’s functions.php.

You will want to change ‘Concert’,’Convention’ to your Event Category Names you have for it to work.

This should just work on the main Calendar View.
