ParticipantTried “KNOWLEDGEBASE Fixing HTTP 404 errors” without success. Added diagnostic code to dev site theme functions:

Please check and advise.

ParticipantHey Maureen,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I notice that you have “upcoming-events” set as the slug for the main events views. We do have a separate issue regarding slugs with “-” in them that will be addressed in the next upcoming release which could possibly be the root of the issue here (although seems unrelated to the other issue).
As a test, can you try temporarily changing that slug to “happenings” (or something other than “upcoming” or “events” since both would likely conflict with existing pages or rewrites that get used within our plugin). After the slug has been changed, go to Settings > Permalinks and re-save the permalinks there.
Does doing the above all the main events page to show?
Thanks!

ParticipantThat fix didn’t work. We’ve been using the slug “upcoming-events” for over a year prior to the latest update release without a problem. Also, I listed only one issue, what other issue are you referring to?

ParticipantHey Maureen,
Sorry for the confusion there. The other issue I mentioned was one that we’ve found internally regarding slugs that included “-“. It wasn’t directly related here, I was only speculating on whether or not they shared a similar root cause. Doing some further testing it doesn’t appear to be a shared root cause here.
Out of curiosity, does the issue persist if you disable WooCommerce Tickets and then re-save permalinks?
Thanks!

ParticipantYes, the issue persists after I disable WooCommerce Tickets and then re-save permalinks. Need another solution!!!
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Maureen,
Thanks for trying that. I thought it could potentially be an issue with the older WooCommerce Tickets that we would need to address.
Looking further into your system information that you’ve provided here, one thing stands out that could potentially have an issue and causing the 404s. Can you try changing the template used for the views to the “Default” template within the Event Settings > Display tab? There could potentially be something in that template that could now be causing the 404.
Thanks!
