Hi there Felix, thanks for getting in touch! We’re super happy you’re enjoying the plugin so far. 🙂
Great questions, let’s tackle them one at a time.
I would like to display todays events in a widget
Unfortunately, this is something we don’t support right out of the box. However, you could create your own theme override of the pro/widgets/list-widget.php and use template the documentation for the list widget to modify the output of the events to display just the current day. It’s going to be quite a bit of customization, but I imagine is possible.
I would like to have a basic event page – therefore not linked to a specific date. The reason is that I want to link it in the main menu?
This is another instance where using a theme override, or even creating your own custom template might be an option. However, we offer the ability to add any single event to the main menu in Appearance > Menus. Select the menu you are editing, then check the box of the event you would like and click the “Add to Menu” button before clicking the “Save Menu” button. Check out this screenshot of how that works.
Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know.
Cheers!
