ParticipantHi there,
I purchased Events Tickets Plus this morning. I am trying to add tickets to a product within Woocommerce. When I select Add Ticket, define the ticket details, and select the save button, the circle appears like it is saving, and yet the ticket information does not get saved.
I have checked the JS console and there doesn’t seem to be any errors and also followed you instructions of debugging with no joy.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.
Matt

MemberHey there, Matt, and sorry for the trouble!
That certainly sounds odd. I’m having trouble getting the same stuck loader on my test site–it could still be an issue, so let’s keep digging deeper to see what the difference might be.
First off, I see you noted having tried:
- Deactivated all other plugins? Yes
- Switched to a default theme? Yes
Did you happen to notice a difference when doing that? How about when activated a default WordPress theme (let’s say Twenty Sixteen) and deactivating all other non-Modern Tribe plugins at the same time–with exception to WooCommerce, of course. Any difference when creating new tickets in those conditions?
Let’s start there. If the issue is still happening in those default settings, then we’ll want to try some deeper troubleshooting on perhaps a fresh test site.
Thanks!

ParticipantHi Geoff,
Thanks for getting back to me.
I did’t notice any difference when I deactivated all other plugins and switched to a default theme and also when deactivated all other non-Modern Tribe plugins.
When saving a ticket the spinner comes up but it simply doesn’t save the ticket.
I also have a copy of wootickets (which I purchased for another site) and have just tried that one out to see if the works, and the same problem persists.
Does he Events calendar need to be enabled and any other settings defined specifically for tickets to be saved within a woo commerce product (apart from the checkbox under the settings ticket tabs for tickets to work in a product)?
Kind regards,
Matt

MemberHi Matt,
One more question: is this happening when you try to adding a ticket to any event, page or post–or is it just happening with events, or just posts, etc? If you could provide me a screenshot of the editing screen you’re on before hitting submit for the ticket, that might help as well.
Thanks!

ParticipantHi Geoff,
I’m only using the ticket functionality within Posts and within in Woocommerce products. Tickets work perfectly for posts but not within Woocommerce products.
I have done you screen grabs as follows:
Prior to pressing submit when adding tickets into a woo commerce product:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/atrstqgk2aq057g/Screenshot%202016-01-07%2016.39.15.png?dl=0After pressing submit when adding tickets into a woo commerce product shows exactly the same thing.
Do let me know if you need anything further.
Kind regards,
Matt

MemberAh, that clarifies things a ton!
Yes, there does seem to be an issue when adding tickets specifically to WooCommerce Product post types. I’ve opened a ticket so we can work on it. I don’t have a timeframe for when it will be fixed, but I’ll mark this thread Pending Fix and keep you posted as I learn more.
Thanks for reporting this!

ParticipantThanks Geoff. I’m glad to hear that it clarifies it and that the issue is now known.
As much as you don’t know a time frame for when it will be fixed, are we talking days, weeks, months etc as it’s quite a major problem as I’m sure you can appreciate.
Kind regards,
Matt

ParticipantHi Geoff,
Thanks for this. I appreciate what you are saying, but I needed to start selling tickets for my event today and my client has just gone crazy at me.
Is a solution being worked on as it’s quite a major issue?
What are my options?
Can I get a refund if a fix isn’t going to be available in the next few days? Thanks,
Matt

MemberHi Matt,
I totally get where you’re coming from. Please do send me the order numbers you’d like to return (in a private reply) and I’d be happy to process a refund for you.
While not ideal, a temporary workaround could be to use another e-commerce plugin purely for the ticket sales, like Easy Digital Downloads, since the issue is limited to WooCommerce. Like I said, though, might not be the best workaround if there is a lot riding on WooCommerce in other places on the site as well.
Thanks,

ParticipantHi Geoff,
I’ve just tried that and unfortunately it doesn’t work – the exact same thing happens unfortunately.
Thanks for sending it over though.
If you could make the refund it would be appreciated.
Kind regards,
Matt

MemberShoot, I was hoping that would do the trick! Thanks for giving it a shot for me anyway.
I’ve processed the refund and you should see the funds back in your account in 5-10 business days.
Sorry again for the trouble but thanks for working with me on it and best of luck with your project!
Geoff
