Events showing up in main blog but need them to work with standard categories

Hi

I have set my events to also be shown with my main blog posts which works great. The problem I have is I need to be able to also set the events to come up for the standard blog categories, not just the event categories. Is there a way I could add this as an option in the back end so I can also choose a normal blog category as well as the event category?

Hi Lee,

That definitely makes sense.

To do this you’d basically have to ensure that the regular blog post category is also registered for use with the events post type. This sort of customization is a tad beyond what we can guide you through here on the support forums but you might find the following useful:
